Other than endless sleepless nights life is good! Ha. She is a spirited a little thing with a smile for everyone and a shriek of joy for a lucky few. Sitting up means she is engaging with the world and playing more. She's reaching and grabbing at everything. My phone, Matt's beard, my great aunt's jowls. It's all fair game. She has grown bored of her bouncer so she accompanies me most places and either watches what I'm doing or plays. Generally this is all good but it did lead to a minor incident. She fell off our bed head first onto the wooden floor. Apparently something like this happens to every baby but boy was it scary. Luckily no damage was done.
This month she's helped out at two Christmas markets, been to her first party, made some new baby friends, learned to cuddle (so happy about this) and tomorrow will be her first ever Christmas.

Happy Christmas! Enjoy Elizabeth's first one :)
ReplyDeleteLooking at the bottom pic,Matilda always does that too. So cute. M has her second tooth coming up..they are horrid. Have you tried teething granules? They're pretty good if you can tip the whole sachet in without E biting the packet, which is what M does! Re rolling over in sleep,M is surprisingly still at night and if she does wiggle,it tends to be sideways rather than over. Not very helpful :/ Maybe try tummy time with her so that she can get practice of rolling back? Lots of luck :) x
Happy Christmas! Did Matilda get spoilt?
ReplyDeleteWe have nelsons teething granules - she always manages to make a right mess but they do seem to work (for a few minutes!) She can now roll all the way - hooray! Not that it's made sleeping any better, Christmas travelling has unsettled her and I think she needs to start solids. Milk doesnt seem to be enough. How did M take to the lactose free milk? x
Yes very much so! Spent an age unwrapping her gifts! We got her a jumperoo..she loves that!
ReplyDeleteYes they're the ones we use...a lot of the time she has them over her chin/cheek/clothing :D We're now starting to wean M and she's taking to it really well thankfully. Still not been able to even get her to try the lactose powder! Am thinking may have to just stop feeding..she's 6 months January 14th and I didn't want to go past that time :/ Realise I probably shouldn't be too rigid with this but I go back to work in April so want her to have a good few months on the bottle xx
Do you put her to sleep on her tummy or on her back? What about putting her on her side. We do that with Amelie a lot, just let her hug a toy to give her arms somewhere to go. Then she can roll onto her front or back, wherever she wants?
ReplyDeleteHope you guys had a good Christmas!
Amy what is a jumperoo? Sounds interesting... How come she hasn't tried the lactose powder? Does she reject the bottle?
ReplyDeleteJosie I'll try settling her on her side. Hadn't thought of that. She's managing to get all the way round now so hoping the night disturbances will calm down a bit.

ReplyDeleteHopefully that link works! Tis brill..M can have a good ol' bounce around in it but also has the activity stuff to play with :) Unfortunately yes..going to keep trying whilst still breast feeding but am thinking I'm going to have to stop completely so she has no choice but to take the bottle :/ xx
